CenterPEER (hereinafter also referred to as the Company) recognizes and understands thoroughly that customers’ personal information constitutes important information in terms of customer privacy. When handling personal information in the course of their duties, all CenterPEER employees display their respect for customers by observing and complying with laws and ordinances relating to personal information, and regulations for the protection of personal information.
Provision of Personal Information
Where provision of personal information by customers is required, the Company shall display to customers the purpose(s) for which such information will be used, and shall only make use of information for which the understanding and consent of the customer has been obtained.
Use of Personal Information
The Company shall not make use of personal information for any purpose other than that for which the understanding and consent of the customer has been obtained, in any circumstances whatsoever.
Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except where the understanding and consent of the customer has been obtained, where required to do so in accordance with the law, or where requested to do so under legal obligation, the Company shall not provide personal information received from customers to any third party without permission.
Safety Measures for the Protection of Personal Information
The Company shall take reasonable safety measures to protect personal information received from customers from loss, destruction, external leakage and unauthorized or fraudulent access. In some cases, once the purpose of use has been completed and it has become unnecessary to continue storing a customer’s personal information, the Company may delete that customer’s personal information.
Inquiries Concerning Personal Information
In the event that the Company receives a request from a customer to do any of the following with regard to his or her own personal information (under the management of the Company), the Company shall respect the wishes of the customer and respond as necessary, within the bounds of common sense.
3. Withdraw part or all of the customer’s agreement to the use of personal information
The Company shall engage in the following activities to ensure thorough implementation of this Basic Policy Regarding the Protection of Personal Information and any relevant laws.
1. The Company shall carry out awareness raising activities, in-house training and regular inspections to ensure the observance of laws and other standards and norms concerning personal information.
